Welcome to The Honey Pot Day Nursery, specialists in children’s day care in Burton Joyce in Nottinghamshire. The Honey Pot Nursery was founded in 1999 by Vanessa Godber and Fiona Walker. Vanessa and Fiona are sisters and are both qualified Childcare Practitioners with many years of experience and who manage the nursery jointly.
The nursery is in the heart of the village in a semi-rural location. The nursery building has always played a key role in the village as it was once the local grocery shop and also a Doctor’s surgery for 21 years before becoming The Honey Pot Day Nursery. We have a wonderful park close by and ideal countryside walks that we like to explore with the children.
Our Vision. Aims & Ethos
The nursery's ethos has always been that “Children learn through play”. We work very hard to provide varied activities that are interesting for the children which will extend their learning, be something that they enjoy, is a learning interest and most importantly, is fun! We plan small monthly projects and link them to the national curriculum which are all explained in our monthly newsletter.
Key Worker For Every Child...
All the children have a key worker who works closely with you and your child. We naturally observe the children and document key events and development achievements in the children's Learning Journals.
